Rellenong Bangus

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole Fishta Bangus
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp calamansi juice
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions:


1. Prepare the Bangus – Carefully remove and flake the fish meat, keeping the skin intact.
2. Sauté Filling – In a pan, heat oil and sauté garlic, onion, and tomato. Add flaked bangus meat, carrot, peas, and bell pepper. Season with soy sauce, calamansi juice, salt, and pepper. Let it cool, then mix with the beaten egg.
3. Stuff the Bangus – Fill the fish skin with the cooked mixture and sew or secure with toothpicks.
4. Fry – Heat oil in a pan and fry until golden brown on all sides.
5. Serve – Slice and enjoy with rice and vinegar dipping sauce.
