Grilled Bangus

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole Fishta Bangus
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Banana leaves or aluminum foil (for grilling)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the stuffing – Mix tomatoes, onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, calamansi juice, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Stuff the bangus – Fill the fish’s cavity with the mixture, then secure it with a string or toothpicks.
  3. Wrap in banana leaves or foil to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill over medium heat for 6-8 mins per side, until cooked.
  5. Serve with spicy vinegar dip and enjoy with rice!
